“Overall, the lectures and labs were amazingly planned out to compliment the topics of the course while allowing the students to engage with real–life tasks such as inspecting drill cores for composition, texture, and ore as well as modelling an ore deposit in Leapfrog, software that is widely used in the industry today. With the application of assignments such as these, I believe we were able to apply our learning while also being able to develop skills that are extremely relevant to the modern mining industry.”
